Healthy Green Breakfast Smoothie For Weight Loss

What are you fueling your body with for breakfast?  I’m a huge fan of having a green breakfast smoothie.  I even use this smoothie recipe for my intermittent fasting days.  It can also be used as a 3-day detox!

This is why I want to share this powerful, healthy, low calorie recipe with you.  Starting your day with this Green smoothie is a great way to get energized and feel awesome!

I found this recipe over a year ago while reading the The Plant Paradox by Dr. Steven Gundry, a famous heart surgeon.  He has been published in many medical journals for his work in living a healthier life though your diet and exercise.

Healthy Green Breakfast Smoothie

  • 1 cup of chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/2 cup of baby spinach
  • 1 mint spring (with stem)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 4 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 to 6 drops of stevia extract
  • 4 cup of ice cubes
  • 1 cup of water
  1. Simply place the ingredients in a high-powered blender, and blend on high until smooth and fluffy. Add more ice cubes if you want. 
  2. And if the smoothie is too thick for you, feel free to add a little more water. You can also make a triple batch, and refrigerate it for up to three days in a covered glass container.

Of course you can follow the recipe as it’s written or you can give it a little more boost.  You can add a scoop of hemp protein or some fresh blueberries to give it a little extra power.

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve been drinking this breakfast smoothie for over a year now and it tastes delicious!
