My thoughts are the final determiner of my mood and attitude. When I can control what I think, I have control over myself and my life.
I know that negative thoughts result in negative emotions and a pessimistic outlook, while positive thoughts do just the opposite. I find that we usually get what we expect. Therefore, I always expect the best.
I am able to perform at my best when my thoughts are positive. I enjoy life more when I engage in positive thinking.
It is challenging to control my thoughts, but my ability to do so is growing rapidly. I make a conscious effort to keep my mind focused on the positive in any situation.
I ask myself questions that allow my mind to maintain a positive outlook. I ask, “What is great about this situation,” or, “What is the best choice I can make right now,” or, “What is funny about this?”
If I fail to control my thoughts, they can lead me down a negative path. When I catch myself thinking negatively, I quickly stop and redirect my thoughts. I have plenty of positive thoughts I can use to replace negative thoughts.
Positive thoughts are my keys to happiness and success. I take my thoughts seriously and give this part of my life my full attention.
Today, I monitor my thoughts and keep a positive attitude. I take control of my mind. My thinking is positive and productive.
Self-Reflection Questions:
- What happens when I think negative thoughts?
- How do I think that negative thinking helps?
- What is one area of my life that I’m determined to be more positive about?
